On Thursday 12 June 2025, GAMS-MALI organised an information and exchange meeting at the town hall of the rural commune of Faragouaran.
It brought together the mayors or their representatives, the representative of the sub-prefect of Faragouaran and delegates of communal women’s and youth organisations. The communes present included Danou, Faragouaran, Faradiélé and Kouroulamini (Bougouni circle), as well as Bolo-Fouta and Wassoulou-Balé (Yanfolila circle).
What came out of it
- A first meeting of its kind, which mobilised about fifteen participants.
- An exchange on prospects for collaboration and the definition of a joint working framework.
- A validated work plan, serving as a roadmap between GAMS-MALI and the six local authorities concerned.
Following this meeting, GAMS-MALI approached the urban commune of Bougouni so that it would join the effort, with a view to a first joint integrated project. See the joint integrated project.
